6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
10 Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
There are so many things to get from this. I don't always know where to start. My devotional booklet asked the question "What joyful message is to be proclaimed?" At first I thought that it could be that God is in control and that He will never fade like the grass or leave us. You have to look at the broader more important message though, and that is that God is coming back. He will rule and reign over the whole earth. That is the message that needs to be joyously proclaimed. As the song says, "God's not dead, He is surely alive, and He is coming again"
On to my day :)
My day was a little crazy today. On Wednesdays I meet with a personal trainer. It can be a little rough as I am not in the best physical shape, but I am attempting to rectify that. Today, he had me lifting some weights, and we were doing sets of ten and then if I could get to 15 he would increase the weight. After, the first few I caught on, and when it came time to push to 15 I said that I didn't think that I wanted to go to 15 cuz then he would make it harder. Thinking about it now I think that we do that with God sometimes. We get comfortable and don't want to reach out to do more because then God will challenge us or Satan will fight us. We need to build our spiritual muscles, so that we will have the strength to fight when Satan attacks and so that we can accept the challenges given us and prove ourselves faithful with the help of the Holy Spirit.
well that is all I have for tonight!
Goodnight, and God bless!
